This is the issue exactly. The political left is now divided into the economic socialists - those who primarily focus on achieveable economic reform and things like Universal Health Care and Education reform.... and what the Garrulous Glasweigen call the 'synthetic left'

Those people believe that they are fighting for equality and justice, so they must be leftists.... but they aren't, they're playing a right wing model of centralising the power in a small group of activists. The progressive left is neither progressing, nor is it left.
