Those are covered under legislation to promote specific needs and an equitable work place when it can be accommodated. That cannot and will not work for mental health.
Firstly, its too broad a term. Do you adapt the workplace around paranoid schizophrenics, or PTSD sufferers who have violent outbursts. Do you ban everyone from eating in the office because one person has annorexia nervous. Do you let people self select what work they find triggering?
It’s easy to create a utopia where everyone is accommodated at all times for whatever they feel they need – but reality doesn’t work like that. As this is my place of work (I make money on Medium) – I find it intimidating and damaging that you keep attacking me and making me feel unsafe.
Now what? Is this a me problem? A you problem? Or a Medium problem?
