Try not to be so hard on yourself. Even if you write an article slightly lengthier than a tweet, and you earn $0.01 for it, that is 100% pay raise from what you got for tweeting the same thing.
Everyone has good days and bad days – the trick (I have found) is a careful blending of Wu Wei and Stoicism. Write when you feel like it, go with the flow of life rather than against it – and keep your emotions steady in the meantime, no big highs and no crashing lows. You’ll have good days and bad days on the platform, good months and bad months, even good years and bad years. Pay it little heed – you’re a writer. The money is meaningless and only the words matter :o)
