Unless something is exceptionally good, I only give it one or two series. It’s usually diminishing returns after that - and once I’ve got the idea, tone, and general plot enough to talk about it in meetings then I’m onto the next thing. Exceptions include Buffy, Breaking Bad and Bojack Horseman. The secret to good TV seems to be a title beginning with B. :o)
