We Brits have to watch the US election very carefully - and it looks like a mess over there. It was looking terrifying in France but things have been given a temporary reprieve with a left-centre coalition blocking the route to power. Dark times in both our continents for those of us who are left wing - whether progressive or socialist. Let's hope the centre left can deliver over here and that might take the sting out of the US election.
