We have the technology available to run entirely blind application processes… and that’s what we should do. If you have equality of outcome as your goal, you will cherry pick the people who fit your agenda. This is no more or less insidious than nepokids getting their foot in the door because their grandads once invested in real estate together. You need to remove bias from the selection process so nobody but the most qualified person is able to secure the job role.
