We have very different ideas of what constitutes success as a writer. If I had to show up every day and write multiple articles about the same topic, I'd probably shoot myself on day three. And only because I'd missed on day two.
As you've said, it's attainable - but I wanted to push back a little on behalf of other writers on this platform. There are other equally valid measures of success which have nothing to do with income. I'd consider myself a relatively successful Medium writer - I've been here longer than you and my earnings over the long term are pretty consistent, but not stratospheric. If you have to get up and re-write the same article time after time (a new strategy for you) and I can get up and write about whatever I want (an old strategy for me) then which of us do you think is going to burn out first? I've been here four years and counting.
Chasing the money is a good strategy - but it's a short term fix and creates burnout in all but the most dedicated. A risky way to play the game - but one that's worked for the likes of Umair and Denning who basically re-write their somewhat limited content on a daily basis. If you've got the dedication for it - then all the best to you, but it isn't for me and it may not be for everyone. :o)
