We treat people as innocent until we prove them guilty. We grant every person the rights of the innocent until those rights are removed after a court case. There is no need to fix my writing. A presumption of innocence is not strong enough when you then go on to suggest ‘he’s a fraudster and we all know it’. It can and will be used against you in the court of public opinion. You’re trying to win back the right of centre voters who put him in power last time, you don’t do that by being partisan.
