Well hello there! And thanks for making me your first ever Medium comment. I'm honoured. You don't have to agree with my politics, in fact I much prefer when people don't - because then at least people are having a discussion and attempting to see the world differently. Yes, the Blue team did not do a good job of telling the public the difference between a strong economy on the macro level and inflation problems at the individual level. This very likely cost them votes - as does the 'basket of deplorables' comms strategy as practiced by Clinton.

I do not think Trump will be better on the economy than Biden/Harris, and I'm not convinced he'll be great, but the Blue team need to go away and really think about what they want to do. Luckily we had this in the UK in 2019 and the Labour (our reds, but your blues) went away and moved back towards economic arguments rather than playing sillybuggers with culture wars and we've got a less chaotic economy as a result.
