Well…. This is a new flavour of awesome. I’m sure there’s going to be some hilarious law of unintended consequences to play out, some people will flounce out. New publication empires will rise and fall. The old guard will make way for the new. However, as a lefty-leaning old school socialist, I’m always pleased when money flows from where it isn’t needed - into places where it might be. The dollar is strong, words are universal, the only thing that stays the same about Medium is the changing - and 77 has always been one of my favourite numbers. Viva la Stubblebine Revolution (with all the usual Penguin caveats about the centralisation of too much power in overly liberal publication editors)
