Well... yes, it is a reversible situation. It largely depends on whether you support liberal democracy or you think autocracy of a different form (oligarchy - Russia, Politbureau Communism - China, or religious orthodoxy - Iran) is a better system of governance . I know which side I'd prefer, but then I am biased, as evidenced by writing my thoughts down on the internet and not being beaten to death. :o)
