Were there specifically built camps and transport links, coordinated movements of civilians to mass slaughter gas chambers? I am not arguing there weren’t organised killings, I’m arguing that the Holocaust committed by the Nazis after the ‘final solution’ as envisioned by Heydrich, is in a special category because it didn’t rely on base-level human instincts of rage, anger, and nationalism. There’s a level of methodology at play that goes beyond the immediacy of warfare into collective cold psychopathy.
