What a terrifying glimpse into the world of NYC. Last time I went there (2015) I was shocked by the number of mentally unwell people wandering around. That doesn't happen here in the UK and it was a bit of a shock to the system. It sounds like the police and social workers have got their work cut out.

I'm a lefty, so I'll argue for better of redistribution of wealth into early intervention and treatment rather than police and jails.... but that takes time. People like Rosenbaum exist in British society, of course they do, but they do not roam around wearing nihilism on their sleeve.

The whole Kenosha thing is just very profoundly sad.
