What the last person said – that’s one hell of a story. I have often experienced people (often girls) being diagnosed with autism usually Aspergers by GPs when a more correct diagnosis is an avoidant attachment style – or an attachment disorder stemming from being an avoidantly attached child.
Given the history you’ve outlined, I wouldn’t rule that out. I appreciate it’s difficult to make such a judgment based on a single Medium article, but it does happen a lot and might be worth reading about.
Everyone has their own path in life – sounds like you’ve had to very much hack yours out with a metaphorical machete. Massive kudos and keep up the awesome writing. :o)
