When that happens people fall into the hamster trap. They try and try and try to replicate the success they’ve had, but there’s no real way to do that because a lot of it is chance and timing.

Then the frustration goes up because the ballpark figure of prospective earnings has changed. It’s very frustrating but the trick is to keep banging out quality work and not to focus on the earnings of a story at all. Harder than it sounds but necessary to avoid burnout. :o)
