Wholeheartedly disagree. I think editors are the worst place to put boosting skills. Boosting should be given to those people who are prolific readers and commenters across the Medium-sphere. I've never been a fan of centralisation of power and by their nature, publications aren't often where the best writing go, they're where the most confident writers go.
