Witch-hunt isn't a buzzword, firstly it's two words and secondly it's been in the collective vernacular for a long time. Homage to Catalonia by Orwell written in 1938 uses it, Arthur Miller uses it as a metaphor for McCarthyism in The Crucible all the way back in 1953. It's not a new term and if you think it's a buzzword, that's on you.
We need to explore the meaning of the word 'literally' - you have no idea about my life. You are presuming I've done bad things and that I feel sorry for myself. You have no idea of my sex, age, gender or sexuality - you're just absolutely sure I'm the villain and the embodiment of evil and you don't see anything wrong with this.
Adult men might be taking advantage of teenage girls - and if those girls are under the age of consent then they are committing a crime. If those teenage girls are OVER the age of 18 they are not teenage girls, they are adult women (who also happen to be teenagers). By all means continue to infantalise young women if you like - but you cannot claim that adults are children and should be treated that way under law. It's subjective and irresponsible to do so, as well as demeaning to young women.
Not angry in the slightest - I write and debate with people all the time. I have zero feelings on the matter and I have a rationalised position in line with the legal system, and I'm arguing for other people to take the same line. Not sure why this has become difficult to accept.
I am not being hunted like a witch - I am considering the implications of a society that allows people to arbitarily decide a position and enforce it through mob justice and social media. That doesn't mean I'm being hunted, it means the capacity for confirmation bias and social judgment is dangerous. Society has been there before - you can read The Crucible to see how that worked out.
History has a great way of repeating itself and if Arthur Miller were alive today, he'd be writing a new version of The Crucible set in the McCarthy era about how society works right now. Oooooh, that's given me a new idea for a play. Thanks :o)
