Yeah - this place needs some new writers and it needs new interesting writers and not interested capitalists doing lists of how to make money.

I've seen my figures drop off recently and wondered why - but if they're fiddling with the algorithm again that'd probably do it. I'm not interested in being an evangelical even for extra money. I wasn't invited into the Medium writers club thing either. I'm either too troublesome or too British - but hey ho, easy come, easy go. I'm here to write and the money is a nice bonus.

Always good to know there are people who like my work - even when they disagree with it and it's great that you go out of your way to find it. Definitely don't switch notifications on though - those things are a) bad for the soul and b) annoying. There's apparently a way of getting e-mailed if I write something - but I have no idea what that is or how to do that. I can't think why Medium don't want me as a brand ambassador *grin*

This morning I discovered Edith Galt-Wilson (nee Bolling) so that'll be an article rolling out in a few days. I imagine she's right up your street - girl power and history and all that! :o)
