Yes, in the same way that taking away a spider when your child screams will invariably give them long-lasting moderate arachnophobia. It does make it easier - but that isn't always the best thing for people if you're considering the long term. It shouldn't be a big problem if someone misgenders you accidentally, you just correct them. If someone misgenders you deliberately, then having the sort of emotional self-defences that crack under a modicum of pressure isn't your best plan. I think the LGBTQ+ community need to be very careful about the lure of political or socio-groupthink, echo chambers of people who always agree (and amend behaviour accordingly) and the dangers this can bring to the resilience of their membership by the backdoor.
