Yes. It was rampant in the rise and perpetuation of Trump as a political figure – and so it’s a valid question across the board. It’s one that’s linked with identity politics and in this specific instance – but also with human psychology in general. It needs to be checked regularly and I try to keep a balance across my work. Compare and contrast my ‘whack a woke’ and ‘rattle a racist’ articles. I get attacked a lot by both sides of the political spectrum. :o)
