Yes, sorry.... I didn't make that clear. I'm not sure what the laws are elsewhere round the world, here in the UK, lifelong anonymity is granted to the accuser but not the accused. That can lead to more people coming forward with information but in cases where an accusation turns out to be false or not-proven, the 'no smoke without fire' principle generally ruins lives and causes chaos. There have been a few cases in recent years where lives have been ruined on cases which should never have gone to court in the first place.

Anonymity is protected by the court, as happened in the 'Deep Dive' article of mine I linked at the bottom of the Amber Heard piece - and can be enforced by the court. The people who revealed the identity of Miss R on Twitter were fined £600 each for damages relating to the case and I think the judge should've sent them to jail.

We are a very repressed species and I think a big part of our repression comes from not understanding any of our internal motivations. Most people don't think about how they think, let alone think about how they feel. The world is full of reactive people who go about with crazy psyches and no real reference points on their behaviour or understanding.
