Yes. They should. You cannot argue for equality and a family with a magical bloodline that guarantees them untold wealth and (in the case of the monarch) the inability to prosecute them under law. That's a whole contradictory mess. I have no idea why progressives continue to be flag waving monarchists - I'm not a progressive but even I can see the contradiction at the heart of the monologue.
Great article - and I think we'll likely end the monarchy after Charles. William would do well to work on his abdication speech and then apply to be President. He would likely win, but at least then everyone would get a chance to be head of state. :o)
