You know how it is — we penguins trained by walking on ice. Plenty of trips and falls. These issues shouldn’t be dangerous because by not talking about them, or ceding power to those who would prevent conversations — we’re just kicking the problem around without any real solutions.

I’m sure I’ll be taken to task on this the way I’m taken to task on much of what I write. I have zero problem with this happening providing the ensuing discussions are helpful and respectful. I’m more than happy to be proven wrong and labelled as a transphobic bigot — it just needs someone to get up and make a compelling argument.

So far that hasn’t happened — but I’m always hopeful. Thanks for reading and glad you’re still finding my stuff useful for your little notebook for life. :o)
