You may have overlooked the elephant in the room - why should men be approaching women at all? It's 2021. A push for equity means that women, as well as men, should be doing the approaching. I've never seen an article written about how women should approach men. This article continues the firmly held belief that men are the selectors and women are the selected. That doesn't work for women, who get hit on by creepy guys and it doesn't work for sensitive guys who can't socially calibrate and wouldn't recover from the self-esteem battering that outright rejection would generate. Your advice is good advice, However, I think in a rebalancing world it's the wrong advice.
