You're absolutely correct. The problem is, all the people running around doing identity politics and CRT think they're politically left on most issues. They have all the rhetoric of a socialist and all the methodology of an einsatzgruppen.

It's a heady mixture - they're trying to 'overturn' power structures, but mostly by creating new groups to seize said power structures. It's destroying the economic arguments for socialism and turning into an identity based pissing contest between minority groups.

The power struggle element of Marxism has been taken and bastardised with the new proleteriat being every self identified group - and the bourgoiuse being every other human outside that group. It's very silly.
