You’re getting a lot of heat for what is an article essentially arguing for a ‘beyond reasonable doubt’ position that would be the legal requirement. Allen’s actions are certainly subjectively unpleasant in some instances – but we cannot derive a conclusion of guilt about a different matter by opinion alone.

I think your piece is bang on. There’s far too much court of public opinion going on in the wake of #MeToo. It has become easy to infer guilt from accusation alone – and societies cannot function this way. See Salem and McCarthyism for more.
