You've misunderstood my position - I think all countries should have the right to self-determination and to exist... but the emergence of the Nation state as Europeans see it is very different from the civilisational approach taken by Russia and China. These two things are completely at odds. The Eastern mindset seems to be about 'a people', the Western mindset is about 'a country' - Ukraine is where those two notions rub against each other with the most friction.
